Our Pastor

Rev. Brenda S. Clark was born in Durham, NC. and educated in Durham City School System. She received an Associate Degree in Business Management from Southeastern Business College, graduated from DeShazon’s Beauty School, and licensed as Cosmetologist through State of North Carolina. She studied accounting at Durham Technical Institute and pursue her accounting degree at North Carolina Central University, before moving to Washington DC area in 1979.

While growing up in Durham, she was active member of the Kyles Temple AME Zion church. Relocating to Washington, DC area in 1979, she joined Lomax AME Zion Church in March 1981. She answered God ‘s call into ministry on February 4, 2009 and delivered her trail sermon on November 8, 2009. She was licensed as local Preacher in AME Zion church in April 2010. She was ordained as Deacon, October 2014 and was ordained Elder in the AME Zion Church, May 2016. Rev. Brenda S. Clark was appointed as pastor of New Covenant AME Zion Church in May 2017. She reappointed in 2023 for another year. Rev. Clark is appointed to Woodbridge Ministries and New Covenant as pastor of both church.
